It's that time of year again where we all decide to eat way too much because we just know without a doubt that the gym will be there on January 2nd.. we just aren't sure whether or not we'll make it. The resolutions just mount up for an assault on your free time for the next full year and all are decided on a single night, December 31st. It matters a lot where you spend your new years. It's a spot where you want ALL of your friends, not just a few to be present and you even wouldn't mind a significant other there whether you just met them or you've known them since you were in your parents sink getting a bath. Either way, Richmond isn't a bad spot to spend your New Years, and we're about to review all of the hot spots to spend that one special evening here in the Virginia capital.

Lets be honest, you suck at navigating through a crowded bar. Always one step forward and seven shoves back. You spill your drink or one is spilled on you and youve been walking around all night with a toilet paper streamer glued to your heel. And forget about drowning those blues with a frosty beverage, the bar is so packed you look like a kid trying not to get picked last in gym class. Face it, you need help and Im just the seasoned bar vet to give it to you.

It's impossible to miss thousands of music fans in Shockoe Bottom. It's even more impossible to miss some of the talent showcased at this past weekend's RVA Music Fest. The Fest featured Girl Talk and Best Coast as its headliners but boasted more than 20 local and non-local musical artists and groups including No BS Brass Band, Diamond Center, and White Laces.
